End of Marking period one blog post

Intention Definition & Exploration of Ideas :   I began to focus on religions more then technology by finding religions to research in different parts of the world I would take a major figure god or object with in the religion and model it crossed with some thing either low poly or computerized integrating ideas of technology into regions is challenging yet easy and depends on the path you take to your finished project but for my first project (to the left and below this paragraph) I took a hand of god in a low poly then to show art and technology i will combine it with the sculpture( shown at the very bottom of post) i will try to make a sculpture for every print I make .
 Planning:          I started with a hand of god and decided to make it low poly by not rounding out the hand and giving it 4 fingers and no thumb I also decided to study Shintoism next after looking through many books of lure and a lot of list of gods I decided on the god Raijin the god of thunder lightning and rain. Then my for my next project after Raijin i will be researching the temple of black light its a necromancy cult they believe in the "dark lords" as in Satan,  Lucifer and Elven angels. I've diced to do something a little darker to level out what I can and can not do with in demons and gods.
Producing:              To first produce the god hand I  took a cube and shaped into a base ball field kinda shape then for the wrist just a cylinder slanted a little bit then the fingers i took a cylinder then put a cone on it extruded it the duplicated it 3 times at first i messed up i just but everything in the cube but I was told that wouldn't work and aught about the Boolean modifier in blender and went back fixed it i also ran into problems printing the hand and still have to go back and redo it. for my model of Raijin  i will be taking my character model form 3d modeling and modifying it to resemble a rough model of Raijin .
Evaluating:      I ran into a few different problems first with the hand model and secondly with my Raijin model. The problems the hand model produced was fist not printing which was an error my my part ill be resetting it in simplify 3d and after it was printed it feel apart because I had vertexes within the model so it feel apart. The one problem with my character model is the fact the wings are hard to remove but if i go in and hit the right vertexes in the body first and delete them then delete the ones on the outside of the body.

Integrating:              One thing i learned and will use one future models is the Boolean modifier this helped a lot and took away a lot of unnecessary work from me and stress this will make joining and printing objects a lot easier with out \having to go through and delete all the vertexes on the inside of the model. Another thing i learned that i will use in the upcoming marking periods is that if you are trying to print never put vertexes on the inside of a model it completely ruins it.Finally i learned that i should double check every time i use simplify 3d to make sure everything is correct so that my print dosnt mess up ten times.
